Flame Wings of Caledor vs Blackgate Raiders - Week 8

Leading up to this game, Smet "The Corpse" Torwat was released due to events off the field. The coach also reduced support staff by reducing cheerleaders and assistant coaches down to one of each. He said it was in preparations for this game with the goal of maintaining the advantage of the injured Rat Ogre missing this game and not allowing inducements to even the odds. He cut a little over 100k from the team value with the changes.  Before the game began the Flames Wings dipped into their gold reserve and purchased a keg of Bloodweiser expecting the Raiders to put elves on the sideline. The Flame Wings won the toss and chose to receive. Jho the Scrubber takes his place on the line of scrimmage across from an orc lineman who's between the Troll and Ogre. The kick is made and the Blackgate Raiders get a jump for it with a blitz. The take the opportunity to defend progress up the sideline, but do not stretch themselves thin by going for the ball. The Flame Wings make an o...

Flame Wings of Caledor vs Mouseketeers - Week 7

This week the Flame Wings of Caledor are facing the Skaven team of the Mouseketeers. The Flame Wings will be making use of some inducements since they are the underdogs by 180,000 TV. They buy some Extra Team Training, a keg of Bloodweiser, and hire a temp Cheerleader. The wanted an elf cheerleader, but had to settle for a human. Mouseketeers win the toss and choose to receive. The coach places three of Smet Torwat's Four Finishers on the line of scrimmage in an effort to curb their fouling desires. With his focus on the fouling, he erroneously left Yin Kumaro, the team's kicker, on the line. The ball is kicked of to center field Zazz picks up the ball and passes it to the Gutter Runner Asazeshin who runs toward the sideline and across the line of scrimmage with a couple of others to help defend. Rat Fink, the Mouseketeers Rat Ogre, hit Yin Kumaro, injuring him. The Flame Wings coach signals to drag him off the pitch, but it's misinterpreted and the apothecary runs out to ...

Flame Wings of Caledor vs Deadmonton Drillers - Week 6

After playing beastly teams consisting of Nurgle and Skaven, last week the Flame Wings had hope for a more civilized game facing humans. Those hopes were let down with the realization that the supposed honor of the Shoto Samurais did not rise above fouling. But here we are in week 6 facing the Deadmonton Drillers where are the players are elvenkind. The Flame Wings win the toss and choose to receive. The kick off is made and the ball lands midfield near Yodlam Elran. The Flame Wings make a little progress on the line of scrimmage, but most of the Drillers' are still on their feet. A 3 elf cage is made and Elran picks up the ball and takes his place inside. The Drillers hold the line and adjust their position looking to halt forward progress until they see an opportunity to make a play at the ball carrier. The elven sophistication of play can already be felt when compared to previous games. An improvised cage forms near the line of scrimmage and the ball moves a few yards up the fi...

Flame Wings of Caledor vs. Shoto Samurais - Week 5

Week 5 is upon the Flame Wings of Caledor and this week they face the Shoto Samurais. Finally, they get to face a team of sensible beings in this human team. Prior to this game, the opponents have all been freaks and beasts. The Shoto Samurais are down an Ogre due to an injury, but it looks like they’ve hired the star player, Helmut Wulf, in order to fill the position. Flame Wings win the toss and choose to receive the opening kick. Jho the Scubber is back from his injury and on the line of scrimmage. Yodlam Elran, the recently hired thrower takes the field for the first time and stays back to receive the ball. Smet Torwat and Jho the Scrubber are marking the same player after the kick off and Smet jumps to action to by throwing a block at Date Masamune before Jho can screw it up. As Masamune goes down, Smet looks at Jho with disdain and let’s him know that he doesn’t belong here, loud enough that some of the crowd in the stands heard it. Soi ‘Sparrow’ Dang blocks a journeyman who hit...

Flame Wings of Caledor vs. Con-Artists - Week 4

The Flame Wings win the coin toss and choose to receive the ball. They make a small push and get the ball inside a cage formation. The Con-Artists forced their Rat Ogre into the cage marking Nyt Hona, who was carrying the ball. As can be expected from these lesser races, the Lineman Mephyn fouls a journeyman, who had been knocked to the ground, injuring him. The game conitnued with a solid effort from the Flame Wings towards the goal, but the ball was lost and the gutter runner’s speed is not to be under estimated as they ran down the sideline side-stepping blocks that were thrown. The Con-Artists score first during the Flame Wings’ initial kick off reception. The Flame Wings start the next drive by punching through the middle of Con-Artists’ defensive formation. The blitzer Trondjte was itching to get a hit on Ikely Hoarder, the gutter runner, but the rat was able to dodge the attempt. The Rat Ogre forces it’s way in to mark the ball carrier again, but is pushed to the ground by a jou...

Flame Wings of Caledor vs. Plague Inc - Week 3

Due to more unusual league logistics, the Flame Wings of Caledor are facing Plague Inc for the second time in three weeks. Plague Inc wins the coin toss and chooses to kick. As promised by the coach, last game’s MVP, Jho the Scrubber is put on the line of scrimmage opposite the Rotspawn Ando. The Flame WIngs start with a couple of blocks, then get the ball to safety. Ando is the only Nurgle player still standing on the line and Emsi ‘The Guardian’ gets the signal from the coach to blitz the beast. Emsi makes some signals that are obviously saying, “No way.”   Jho the Scrubber sees this looks at the assistance he has against Ando and decides it’s his time to shine. Jho throws his shoulder into the Rotspawn while looking back at at Emsi with a smirk of superiority. Well, he should have been paying more attention to Ando as he fails the block and ends up seriously hurt. He can think about that from the sideline for the rest of the game. The first half continues with the ball ch...

Flame Wings of Caledor - Bye - Week 2

Due to some sort of paperwork error, The Flame Wings of Caledor were informed that they were being given the win in this week's game without taking the field. That was the official explanation anyway. Jho the Scrubber, former locker room janitor and last week's MVP,  told the press is was because the other team had realized they were facing him and found a way out of the match.  The title of MVP has been going to his head. Feeling that he is so popular, he's begun to annoy his teammates by tripping the up as they walk by. Hopefully, he can find a way to use this new passion on the field eventually. The coach has already vowed that he will be on the center of the line of scrimmage or wherever the Troll, Ogre, or whatever big guy is in order to prove he's earned his MVP title. The two injured players, Smet Torwat and Yin Kumaro, say that the medical staff instructed them to sit out a game to recover. They have already made it clear that they are not going to play the next...

Flame Wings of Caledor vs. Plague Inc - Week 1

The Flame Wings chose to receive the first kick off. They move quickly with Nyt Hona scoring on turn 3. On Plague Inc's turn 3 they foul Smet Torwal giving him a Serious Injury(MNG, +1 to future injury rolls) The next turn, Yin Kumaro retaliates with a block that injures Geoffroi Pustules(Badly Hurt) Soi 'Sparrow' Dang injures Rotspawn Ando in turn 5, but Ando regenerated. (I didn't catch the original injury and my log was closed in my video) Nyt Hona blocks and gives the Rotter Wahla 'the Blood Archon' the injury of death in turn 7. On Plague Inc's turn 8, the Rotter Alberic had been lucky enough to gather a ball scattered from a teammate going down the previous turn, and keep it in his hands. He was then able to dodge away from the elves and successfully hand it off to the Pestigor Morgor who then took it in for the score. Tied 1-1 at halftime. The next three turns is a fight that prevents Plague Inc from getting the ball across the line of scrimmage. On t...
